The store has a large catchment area and 65% of customers are over 60 years old.The store underwent a refit in 2020 and boasts 6 optical test rooms and 1 of these is a dual-purpose room which is used for hearcare services 99% of the time.
All of the test rooms are fitted with the latest clinical technology including OCT.
They offer enhanced clinical services such as MECS, post cataract care, glaucoma monitoring and IOP refinement.A team of 27 passionate and dedicated colleagues call this store home, including 5 Optoms (including a Pre-reg), 2 DO's, a CLO, 3 lab assistants and 4 administrators/call centre operatives.There is an incredibly supportive store culture where further development is encouraged plus they have trained over 25 apprentices.
The team are like a big family, very supportive of each other so it's a lovely, positive environment to work in.LocationLaunceston, known as the gateway to Cornwall is a pretty market town near the Devon, Cornwall border.
Renowned for its independent shops and cafes, medieval streets and Norman castle, it's easy to see why it's such a popular tourist destination.
Two major dual carriageways pass next to the town, the A30 and A38.
Launceston is less than a 50 minute drive to both Exeter, to the East and Newquay to the South West.
Plymouth is 25 miles to the South and you can reach the beautiful beaches of Bude on the West coast in under 35 minutes.Requirements of the roleAlongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive, passion and willingness to maintain the customer-focused culture and the high standards of this successful store.
As the new Optometry Partner, you'll be able to provide a unique blend of customer care and professional excellence.
