Part Time Opportunity Flexible Working Hours Close to Major Shops and Services Small business and Local Business Award Winner 2024 Permanent part-time opportunity Flexible Parking Options Small friendly team Flexibility with hours and days (Must be available Tuesdays) A leading provider of temporary and permanent recruitment solutions on Sydney's Northern Beaches is seeking an Accountant or experienced Bookkeeper with payroll experience (across multiple awards - preferable) to join their busy recruitment firm. This is a permanent, part-time opportunity with flexible hours Monday to Friday, but you must be available to work Tuesdays.
Accounting duties will include: Management and financial reporting systems including cash flow projections and reporting using MYOB Preparation of weekly and monthly management reports Business Insurance renewals Work Cover renewals and actuals declaration Work Cover claim management including liaison with Worker's Comp Consultant ATO Reporting of BAS, IAS STP annual reconciliation proficient Reporting Payroll Tax monthly and annually Superannuation reporting and monthly payments to Clearing House All aspects of Accounts Payable including managing payment of Suppliers Invoicing and accounts receivable Bank Reconciliation Experienced in accruals Advanced knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets Experience in tracking and payment of commission schemes Maintain internal Operations and Procedural manuals Payroll duties will include: Experience with integrated payroll systems Experience in payroll processing in large volumes including reversal, deductions and adjustments Knowledge of new hire onboarding requirements Working knowledge of Modern Awards (11 in use currently + 2 EBAs) is preferable Working knowledge of Astute and RatesCalc integration or a similar electronic timesheet solution is preferable, full training can be provided Ideal candidate will also possess the following attributes: Ability to understand the relevant business and regulatory environments Innovative thinking in contributing to the company's operating strategy Problem solving and decision making Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building Attention to detail Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines Proficient with MYOB and MS Office suite This position will have dual reporting lines into Director of Finance and General Manager of Operations.
