The purpose of this complex is to manufacture Packaged Explosives used in the blasting procedure within the mining and quarrying sectors.The position is on an 8/6 roster with 2 rotating shift structures being morning and afternoons. The successful candidate will be required to live in Kalgoorlie.We strongly encourage diversity in every role we have here at Orica. Our Operator positions are no exception. The successful candidate will expect a healthy remuneration package along with full training, and many career development opportunities.What you will be doingWork autonomously to ensure manufacturing plant operates efficiently.Assist with plant maintenance while strictly following Orica Safety, Health, and Environment guidelines.Responsible for diverse tasks including production, maintenance, and administrative duties.Operate critical equipment such as pumps and cartridge machines.Opportunity for cross-training in multiple plant areas to support production.What you will bringAbility to pass all relevant security checks (National Police Clearance).A current drivers licence.A positive attitude and strong work ethic.Trade background would be beneficial but is not essential.Ability to work safely and look out for your teammates.Ability to work in a team environment.What we offerAs part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
