Dugald River mine in Northern Queensland is one of the world's top 10 Zinc mine operations, producing zinc concentrate for customers around the world since 2017. Dugald River employs around 750 employees and contractors on a mix of fly-in, fly-out and local residential basis.
Operator Mining – Charge Up We currently have a fantastic career opportunity available for a Charge Up Operator to join our Mining team at Dugald River Mine. Reporting to the Supervisor - Mining, you will ensure the safe prepping and charging practices for stope production.
This role is based on an 8/7, 7/6 (Days & Nights) roster, drive in drive out from Cloncurry or Mount Isa, and FIFO from Townsville.
Qualifications, skills & Experience A current C Class Licence Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and Pre-Employment Medical Must have or be able to obtain Explosives Security Clearance Competency of RIIBLA205E - Store, handle and transport explosives Competency of RIIBLA304E - Conduct underground production shot firing Competency of RIIBLA305E - Conduct secondary blasting Competency of RIIBLA303E - Conduct underground development shot firing Competency of Working at Heights Previous experience of operating Normet Charmec charge rig or similar equipment is desirable General understanding of Underground Mining Environment and long hole stope production To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards safety.
