Sunwater is excited to be expanding our operations in Cloncurry on our North West Pipeline and Lake Julius Dam and we need you!We are recruiting for a team of Operator Maintainers, Senior Operator Maintainers, Electricians and Fitters to support our expanding operation.You will be based in either Cloncurry/Mt Isa or we are open to a fly in, fly out (FIFO) arrangement from either Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane.You will work on an 8 on and 6 off roster, 10 hours per day and for those on the FIFO arrangement, you will travel to site on day 1 and travel home on day 8 of your swing.What makes Sunwater an exceptional workplace?We are dedicated to providing our employees with a dynamic and secure work atmosphere, accompanied by an array of attractive benefits including: Starting base salary from $118,043 (Operator Maintainer rates) and $129,603 (Senior Operator Maintainer, Fitter and Electrician rates) which includes oncall allowance, penalty rates and locality allowance) 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading Accommodation will be provided for those on a FIFO arrangement Rental assistance for local interest (Cloncurry/Mt Isa) Access to Banked Time, TOIL and Overtime Genuine emphasis on work/life balance Access to Sunwater's MyBenefits hosted by Reward Gateway The role: In these newly created roles, you will assist the North West Pipeline team to ensure water distribution and system monitoring activities are carried out to meet our Customer Standards of Service and you will work safely and in accordance with Sunwater's safe work and other policies and procedures.Other responsibilities include: Operator Maintainer – Schedule, operate and control water distribution activities.Undertake preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance work to the required standard and within the required timeframes.Maintain surveillance of water supply infrastructure and provide feedback on asset condition and performance.Senior Operator Maintainer – Schedule, operate and control water distribution activities to meet Customer Standards of Service and External Contract requirements.Investigate and take corrective action in relation to incidents and complaints, within the area of responsibility and authority of the position.Fitter – Schedule, operate and control water distribution activities.Maintain pumps, valves and mechanical equipment associated with pipelines and bulk water storages.Undertake routine mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, installation and modification work and troubleshooting tasks to restore pumping systems, valves and equipment.Electrician – Schedule, operate and control water distribution activities.Identify, analyse and resolve operational/technical problems and troubleshoot task to restore systems and equipment to an operational state.Operation and maintenance of low voltage and high voltage electrical equipment.You will bring: We are seeking team members who can participate actively in a team environment with responsibility for the execution of mechanical, electrical, maintenance and operational activities to ensure our assets are maintained and operated to meet or exceed customer expectations.You will be able to foster and maintain good working relationships with water supply customers, internal and external clients, fellow coworkers and you will have well-developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.In addition, you will have:- Certificate III as a Fitter, Fitter-Mechanic or other suitable trade - Fitter/Operator Maintainer Queensland electrical work licence and high voltage switching qualifications (or the ability to obtain) - Electrician Class 'C' driver's licence Confined Space;
