Role Description:The Operator Maintainer Mechanical is a newly created opportunity based at our Cockburn Power Station site.
The objective of the role is to investigate and repair mechanical issues arising in the Cockburn power generating plant.
To undertake fault finding, testing, maintenance, and inspections as required to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant as directed.
To monitor, operate and maintain the Kwinana and Cockburn shared services assets inclusive of the bore water recovery, wastewater recovery and water treatment plants.
You will provide mechanical support for activities relating to construction of new plant, upgrading and performance of existing plant, ensuring best practice safety work protocols are incorporated into all aspects of work.
Perform corrective and routine maintenance as required on all aspects of generation plant and the shared services assets.
Job responsibilities:Carry out plant inspections, document findings with recommendations and/or arrange necessary actions and provide accurate and comprehensive closing information for maintenance works undertaken.Carry out specialist technical tasks within area of competence and assessment of issued plant spares and materials prior to their installation.Contribute to the development of inspection record sheets, method sheets, operating instructions, and safe work instructions for major plant as required.Ensuring work that you are involved meets with and is carried out to the appropriate Engineering, Regulatory and site standards.Perform the maintenance of and provide technical support for the installation and repair of mechanical and pneumatic equipment used in the process plant, water treatment plant and for generation of electrical power.What you will bring:WA Driver's Licence.Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.Skilled in the operation and maintenance of a reverse osmosis / electro-deionisation water treatment plant and the monitoring of demineralised water quality.Skilled in inspection / testing practices and knowledge of equipment maintenance / repair practices.Skilled in equipment operation and commissioning practices and strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.Effective communication skills and ability to articulate technical and operational information and sound judgement of opportunities to resolve operational issues with a commercial focus.What we offer: Working for an employer of choice also means you will enjoy:
