Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking aquatic and terrestrial weed control via mechanical and chemical applications.
You will also undertake preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance work where required.
Other responsibilities will include: Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in compliance with Environmental and WH&S requirements and relevant Sunwater policies, standards, and business rules.
Undertaking fault analysis and implementing solutions to operational and maintenance issues.
Maintaining surveillance of water supply infrastructure and providing feedback on asset condition and performance.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, there is a 1 in 4 on-call roster.
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate skillsets in the civil, mechanical or electrical maintenance field.
You will have the ability to organise and prioritise your own tasks, develop and implement solutions to routine problems, operate effectively in a changing environment and apply safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
You will also bring: Class 'C' driver's licence for manual vehicle.
Ability to undertake aquatic and terrestrial weed control activities efficiently and safely.
The ability to perform the manual task requirements of the position, be able to swim, and work in confined spaces.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
