Due to further expansion of positions, we are seeking a skilled Operator Maintainer for the day-to-day operation of the feed mill and troubleshooting faults/breakdowns and enacting repairs as required. Previous applicants are encouraged to reapply. With a competitive starting salary above $110,000, annual performance bonus, 5 weeks of annual leave, a 4-on-4-off roster (2 days, 2 nights, 24/7). Role Overview
This role is a member of the production team, supporting the maintenance team, and the business by operating and maintaining equipment to ensure the operating efficiency of the mill and minimise downtime; also supporting the maintenance team during shut down activities when rostered.
This position will operate out of our Cambridge production mill, which operates 24/7.
This position is a new addition to the structure and will support 1 of the 4 production teams on site, and work in tandem with similar roles on the other teams.
Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor with indirect reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this opportunity will see you:
Operate mill equipment in accordance with operating and safety guidelinesPerform troubleshooting, adjustments, repairs and preventative maintenance as requiredTroubleshoot mechanical faults, production breakdowns and production start-ups as requiredWork alongside the maintenance team in planned shutdown works and improvementsTo be successful in this role you will possess: Forklift License (or willing to achieve)Demonstrated high level of safety behaviourExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh degree of independence, maturity and initiativeProven ability to priorities and manage workloads efficiently and demonstrate flexibility in handling changing prioritiesRecent Criminal History (Police) Check valid within 12 monthsExperience as a tradesperson in maintenance advantageousExperience in an FMCG environment or with automation, steam or gas appliancesRestricted Electrical LicenseWelding experienceDriver's LicenseWhat can we offer you?
