About the roles:
We are seeking applicants who are genuinely interested in training as an Operator in the following areas:
Pan Assistant - You will be responsible for the production of sugar crystals using syrup that is produced upstream by monitoring the process through automatic control systems and visual assessments.
Fugal Operator - Responsible for the separation of sugar crystals from molasses to produce raw sugar to required sugar quality standards
Evaporator Operator - You will be responsible for heating cane juice, the removal of mud and concentration to a syrup consistency for downstream production of sugar crystals.
These roles require shift work during the crushing season, which includes weekends and overtime as required (paid at penalty rates). The Operator in Training is a fixed term position for the 2024 production season which runs from June to late November/early December.
The Opportunity
Previous experience is not essential as we will provide all training to be successful in this role, including Confined Space, Working at Heights and other courses pertinent to the responsibilities of the position, including Operator Station competencies. These positions will suit someone who is self-motivated and doesnt require close supervision.
