Work. As the Operator – Civil Works you will work under general direction to undertake a range of functions including operational and maintenance activities to ensure efficient delivery of services. You will undertake fault analysis of operational and maintenance issues and provide recommendations around solutions whilst identifying potential risks and mitigations.
Other responsibilities will include:
Completing all administrative tasks associated with the duties and responsibilities of the positionActively participating in Health & Safety interactionsProviding support and indirect supervision to lower-level operatorsSupervision of on-site contractors to ensure safe working methods and deliveryParticipating in Emergency Response, Flood Ops and On-Call roster and be able to work towards becoming a Dam Duty OfficerPlease note that due to the nature of this role, there is a 1 in 2 on-call roster. Sunwater are looking for someone with experience in civil construction, heavy industry, asset infrastructure or relevant field with a class 'C' drivers' licence. You will also have the ability to foster and maintain good working relationships with internal and external clients and fellow workers.
