These positions are based in Darwin and follow a rotational roster.Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will lead emergency responses, ensure the efficient operation of Process and Utility areas to meet production goals, record maintenance activities, identify and mitigate hazards, communicate with operations staff, and develop operational procedures and training manuals.Key responsibilities of the role include:Directing field personnel to respond safely and effectively to emergency situations to make the area/plant safeOperating Process and Utility areas safely and efficiently within defined operating limits to meet daily production.Recording all work aligned with the site maintenance management system.Identify, participate and report on workplace hazards, incidents and near misses and take action to mitigate risks.Having a close working relationship and maintaining a high level of communication with other operations personnelContributing to the development of & conducts operational procedures, training manuals, Santos Work Permit Procedure (eSWPP) documents and other role associated documentationIssuing work permits and performs gas testing, ensuring that maintenance and project activities are conducted in compliance with the Santos Work Permit Procedure (eSWPP).Conducting field audits of individual Permits within the area to ensure compliancePreparing equipment for maintenance and project work and ensuring equipment is isolated in compliance with Equipment Isolation procedures and eSWPP.Participate in shutdown and turnaround planning and execution, including development of procedures and shutdown work packsPositively influence the work practices and behaviours of team members.Understand and manage the hazards and risks associated with your role and others that may impact organisational objectives.Contributes and maintain a positive organisational culture which embraces the Santos work practices, values and behaviours with team members and overall team.About YouWe are looking for dynamic and adaptable team players who possess the potential to lead, influence, and build positive relationships.
Success in this role will be driven by a resilient and proactive mindset.Successful candidates will hold a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations, with experience in hydrocarbon production and control room operations.
Familiarity with production processing and utility systems, permit to work systems, and safety and quality systems is advantageous.
Experience in using and interpreting Isometric and Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs) is desirable.We are seeking candidates who are either residents of Darwin or willing to relocate.
