Our mission drives us, and we want you to be part of the journey.About the OpportunityOperating from within the Parks and Recreation team, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of Councils Parks and Recreation spaces across the region. You will oversee the Parks and Recreation Supervisors (Central, East and West), providing technical advice and support, leadership, and mentoring.This position can be located at any of the major regional centres (Dalby/ Chinchilla/ Tara/ Miles or Wandoan).Reporting to the Parks & Recreation Coordinator, you will be:Operational management of the Parks and Recreation operations across the region, including the advanced planning and development of work schedules in conjunction with input and engagement with the relevant teams, ensuring work is completed to agreed service standards and timeframes;Oversee asset maintenance programs and reporting for all asset types;Provide onsite support, training, and mentoring to the teams and contribute positively to the work culture by promoting teamwork and cooperation;Actively promote and ensure a 'safety first' culture through positive engagement with all staff, contractors, and volunteers on our safety procedures and expectations;Provide technical advice and support on all Parks and Recreation operations;Management and Supervision of the Parks and Recreation Supervisors (East, West & Central);About yourselfThe successful applicant will have:Diploma in Horticulture or related field and/or relevant industry experience;OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card;Open "C" driver's licence is mandatory.The benefits of working for WDRC:Work / life balanceWe understand the importance of balance.
