We are seeking experienced Operations Supervisors to join the team at our Fulfillment Center in Jandakot for the day shift.The Operations Supervisor will support the Area Manager and will hold responsibilities specific to your process path.
Key Job Responsibilities:Support and work in Inbound including other departments as required.Help support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, and assigning job duties.Provide coverage for Area Managers.Provide policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline).Track and report ATS/labor hours.Assist the floor as an associate resource, train associates and verify SOP compliance.Ensure successful area performance through tracking, reporting, and feedback of associate performance.Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity.Fully understand workflow and daily production goals.Assist in keeping the work area clean and organized.Identify and address safety hazards within the work area.Coach associates to work safely at all times.Refer all job injuries immediately to the area manager.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience leading teams.Availability to work 38 hours+/week, and overtime as required.Comfortable lifting up to 22 kilos, standing/walking for up to 10-12 hours, and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, all with or without reasonable accommodation.Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train, and assist team members.Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSLeadership experience directly managing others.Experience working within a similar field (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail).Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.Acknowledgement of Country:In the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community.
