Operations Supervisor – Pinkenba Toll Group are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Resources and Industrials division based in Pinkenba working alongside a major gas provider. You will play an essential role in creating a high-performing, positive, and safety-obsessed team culture. As the Operations Supervisor you will direct, co-ordinate, supervise and achieve service objectives regarding the local deliveries of our customer products.
The Operations Supervisor will ensure that tasks are completed in the most efficient manner with agreed standards in operational procedures including strong emphasis on safety requirements. Be responsible for delivery in full and on time (DIFOT), regularly communicating with drivers and stakeholders, compliance and managing staff to ensure business objectives are achieved in a safe and cost-effective way.
Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of the Operations Supervisor – Organise vehicles and drivers to meet the customer load requirements. Monitor drivers to ensure that customer requirements are met. Ensure that all equipment and ancillary equipment is in operating condition. Comply with CoR (Chain of Responsibility) requirements, Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Load Restraint, and all aspects of the NHVR. Monitor transport workers' training records to ensure training is completed within timelines and ensuring all transport workers employed have been appropriately reviewed in accordance with management procedures. Demonstrate effective leadership in continuous improvement for all customer focused requirements. Actively participate in the roll-out of toolbox meetings and other communications to workers and contractors. What You'll Need to Succeed: Previous and proven Supervisor experience within a similar role within Transport/Logistics industry. A positive attitude and appetite to learn. Demonstrated experience with Operations, CoR, Fatigue Management desirable but not essential. An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem solve. Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal. Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook. High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
