THE TEAM
The Statewide Recycling Processing team is responsible for receiving, validating, blocking, warehousing, loading and dispatching used beverage containers. There is a strong focus on safety in our operation. The operations team is required to manage all day-to-day operational functions. Your working day will start at 7 am through to 3:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7 am to 3 pm on Friday's, with all legislative breaks included and any additional paid breaks Statewide provide. At times, it is acknowledged that additional hours may be required and or earlier start time may be required to facilitate and maintain the plant's operations with prior approval from the manager. Weekend work may be required from time to time with prior notice.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The primary responsibilities of the Statewide Recycling Operations Supervisor are to ensure the Production and Warehouse facility operates safely and efficiently with high levels of people engagement and culture, accuracy and with strong housekeeping standards. Safety and wellbeing should be at the forefront of everything that we do.
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for a range of tasks. This includes but is not limited to:
Always promoting our safety culture, recording incidents, accidents, identifying hazards and corrective actions, reviewing, and monitoring WH&S procedures and policies through the CCEP safety systems. Managing Contractors and their H&S compliance & minimum requirements (Induction, maintenance, site services, transport, and visitors while onsite). Leading, assisting, and promoting all CCEP and Statewide safety initiatives, including SWP reviews, risk assessments, 20 x safety observation per month, maintaining daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly safety activities as outlined in the "Key Event Schedule". Consultation, Training, Competency, and adherence to SWP's with Sign off/Authorisation of Checklists for permanent and labour hire staff. Creating a positive and engaging team culture. Leading by example. Clear communication with direct reports and senior managers. Staff support and provide direction according to daily priorities. Constantly working on Continuous improvement through consultation and innovation. Ensure leave entitlements are managed so they do not affect the operations in conjunction with the Operations Manager. Manage team productivity and KPI's. Regular inspections of work practices of staff and contractors. Plant, shed and site inspections to ensure neat and tidy appearance. Housekeeping and maintaining daily cleaning standards. Tool room to be kept in a neat and organised manner, Audited regularly and re-stocked. Maintain accurate & on-time inward and outward goods and equipment maintenance and labour records. Manage internal collection contractors' standards (paperwork, customer service and quality of work). Operational day-to-day duties as required. Any reasonable request by your direct or indirect manager. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
TRIFR + Contractor TRIFR
Reporting of all Hazards + Incidents. Assist in investigation and collation of paperwork. Schedule plant consistently, minimising any overtime. Actively lead all SWP reviews, Hazard, and risk assessments. Participating in safety initiatives. Ensure all maintenance is completed on time and within specification. Accurate paperwork and weights recorded. Customer requirements are met in full and on time. Involve teams in identifying hazards and developing safe work procedures. Behavioural safety observations & conversations monthly. Create a positive culture. Traffic management escalations and improvements. Contractor Management. Progression planning – have a clear direction and training schedule. All leave entitlements are covered to minimise operational disadvantage, unnecessary stress, or financial increase to staff or the business. Record Keeping
Accurate inwards & Outward goods records. Plant and Equipment maintenance and repair records. Transport Cage damage and repair records. Daily labour records. Housekeeping
Maintain best practice housekeeping standards. Perform regular housekeeping inspections. Assign cleaning duties to maintain high levels of housekeeping standards. Customer Service
React quickly to changing customer requirements. Build strong relationships with Team Members & Contractors to allow effective shift planning. Key Shift Tasks & Duties
Complete checklists for shifts as required. Arrange rosters to suit business requirements. Assign tasks and manage. Supervise contractors while onsite to ensure that tasks are completed in a safe manner. Involve teams in the completion of Risk assessments and Hazard identification. LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU!
Must Haves:
Demonstrated supervisory skills. Knowledge of processing and logistics processes. Process driven. Ability to drive results through strong relationships with your team. A demonstrated track record of partnering and engaging with your team to meet business requirements. Ability to communicate effectively with your team and different teams within the business. Ability to identify business opportunities and improvements. Strong safety leadership. Ability to use business tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Beneficial:
WH&S cert IV. Logistic and Warehousing cert. Min 5 years' Experience in people management. Technology savvy. Experienced in change management. Mechanically minded advantageous. Qualifications:
