The successful candidate will establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other staff within the branch to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels across the branch.
Role responsibilities: Provide high level technical skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.Ensure end to end service delivery for enterprise systems within Queensland Health.You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'Key Responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated ability to develop and promote Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management. (SFIA Code: ITMG 5, USUP 4; PBMG 5; CHMG 4)Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in some of the following technology domains to analyse ICT system issues, and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements. (SFIA Code: SYSP 4; TECH 4, HSIN 5, SCAD 4)Cisco switches, routers troubleshooting and support;Alcatel switches troubleshooting and support;Load Balancing and Clustering, NAT;LAN / WAN Layer2/Layer 3 routing protocols and configuration;Configuration and support of Microwaves, FSO and Telecommunication carrier services;CWDM and DWDM products and principles.Ability to meet service delivery targets and implement quantifiable service improvements by coordinating multiple tasks within agreed priorities, time frames and working unsupervised. (NHS Drive for Results)Well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations and the ability to maintain relevant registers and develop reports for management.
