Perth, WA LocationContract vacancy for approximately 6 monthsSalary Circa $100k pro rataThe Role In this short-term contract, we are seeking someone to operate across a range of News production techniques to deliver high quality content for ABC audiences across digital, television and outside broadcast environments.
This role supports the local 7PM news and News Channel Late News.
Ideally you will be available to start February 2025.
The Job Direct live-to-air news bulletins while leading the production team to meet program requirements.Operate news equipment, including vision mixing desks and automated studio systems.Research and prepare content as required.Perform maintenance and report equipment faults.Contribute to high-quality News output.Attend meetings and train ABC staff on production and equipment.About You You'll have:
Enthusiastic about news and current affairs with a flexible approach.Experience using Mosart is essential.Experienced in directing and switching news programming.Skilled in content creation using vision mixing desks and studios.Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and solve problems.Creative contributor for developing ideas for news platforms.Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with teams and talent.Knowledgeable about production strategies and eager to learn digital skills.About ABC News Quality journalism, powerful investigations, outstanding production, and a collaborative, engaged and supportive workplace that offers opportunities and career development across regional and metropolitan Australia.
