About the Role: The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for leading our lending operations team. Avant Financial Services is a specialist non-bank lender, committed to meeting the needs of doctors & medical professionals.
This role will manage the operational functions for a range of commercial products including asset finance, commercial property, goodwill and commercial fit-out loans.
The successful candidate will be critical in building a high performing and sustainable operations team
Key accountabilities for this role include: • Lead and manage the growth of the lending operations team. Provide strong leadership of the team to ensure that team members are engaged and delivering to a high standard.
• Manage the daily operations of the team including documentation of loans, settlements, registration of security and payments.
• Manage the processing of loan maintenance and post settlement activities such as collection of loan repayments, discharges, variation of loans and issuing of statements.
• Maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales and risk teams and external stakeholders such as panel solicitors and custodians.
• Embed a culture focused on risk and compliance. Follow and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and internal requirements.
• Owning operational user acceptance testing of new product builds, fixes and enhancements on our state-of-the-art digital lending platform.
• Conduct quality assurance and file reviews to monitor the team performance. Identify opportunities to improve quality of work and process efficiencies.
Skills for success: • You have proven experience in managing lending operations, including experience in all aspects of the end-to-end loan lifecycle from credit approval to settlement, servicing to expiry.
• You are an experienced Operations Manager who knows what it takes for an operations team to meet and to exceed expectations in service, delivery and compliance standards.
• You place the client at the centre of everything you and your team delivers.
• You can see the bigger picture yet understand the individual elements that compose a high performing operations team.
• You are willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes for you and your team to deliver to our customers.
• You are a proactive leader, learner, and team player with the ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the business.
