Our Ambius team is responsible for the impressive Green Walls in hotel lobbies, the clusters of plant designs in shopping centres, and the dense palette of plants in major offices. In summary, we provide organizations of any size with interior landscaping that engages clients and their staff through the health benefits of plants! Our customers range from the largest multinationals and government departments to offices and local restaurants.
We have an exciting position available for an experienced Operations and Sales Manager to join our vibrant, passionate, fast-paced team in Ambius Sydney. If you are self-motivated and have outstanding people and communication skills with a high level of drive, then we'd love to hear from you.
In this role, you will be based in Sydney, leading a team of 20 operational and sales staff, all passionate about horticulture. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding sales quotas, retention, installation, and profit targets while building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships with key stakeholders within the business services industry.
This is a key management position responsible for all operational and sales aspects of our Ambius product lines. Reporting directly to the Business Manager and leading a team.
You will be responsible for the following outcomes: Leading a safety cultureDeveloping, leading, and managing a first-class operations, service support, and sales teamDelivery of the operational and sales planManaging the budget, P&L, and operational measuresDriving operational efficiencies and continuous improvement to work smarter, not harderProactively managing service delivery to consistently meet customer contractual expectations to positively impact client retention and growthMotivating and leading the sales team to achieve budgetsFor brilliant execution, you will need: A demonstrated commitment to safety and a proven track record in building a safety cultureA minimum of 3 years experience as an Operations and/or Sales Manager with strong operational principles, driving sales growth, and experience managing planning/scheduling systemsAn engaging leader with experience in coaching and developing team members with the willingness to be a 'hands-on' leader where requiredAbility to focus and have a flexible approach when faced with change, completing priorities and work demandsDemonstrated commercial acumen to manage budgets and costsEffective interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated track record of successfully delivering against targets, KPIs, and cost efficienciesThe ability to positively challenge the status quo and champion continuous improvementHorticultural experience is advantageous, however not essentialOur people are the energy behind our success, and we are committed to growing, developing, and retaining our people.
