Wood are seeking highly skilled and motivated Operations Readiness Engineers to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' operations are fully prepared for safe and efficient start-up and ongoing production. Our clients cover multiple industries including Hydrogen, Oil & Gas Upstream / Midstream, LNG, Petrochemicals & Refining, Power and Renewables.

You will become part of a team focused on delivering solutions for our client's assets in Western Australia and the wider APAC region.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and Implement Plans: Create comprehensive operations readiness plans and procedures to ensure smooth transitions from project phases to operational status.Project Coordination: Work closely with project teams to integrate operational requirements into project planning and execution.Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential issues, and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient operations.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.Technical Support: Provide expert technical support during feed, commissioning and start-up phases, troubleshooting issues and ensuring systems are fully operational.Training and Mentorship: Assist in developing and delivering training programs for operations personnel, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle operational challenges.Performance Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving operational performance and implement best practices.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of operations readiness activities, including plans, procedures, risk assessments, and training materials.Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on readiness status and addressing any concerns.Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve operations readiness processes, incorporating lessons learned and industry advancements.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations readiness within the Energy sector.Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Proficiency in relevant software and tools.Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.Flexible working conditions.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A supportive and collaborative work environment.The chance to be part of a forward-thinking and innovative team.Wood encourages Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.
