Wood is seeking highly skilled and motivated Operations Readiness Engineers to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients' operations are fully prepared for safe and efficient start-up and ongoing production.
Our clients cover multiple industries including Hydrogen, Oil & Gas Upstream / Midstream, LNG, Petrochemicals & Refining, Power, and Renewables.

Wood Consulting is seeking Operations Readiness Engineers to join the Perth office in the Operations & Maintenance department.
Responsibilities: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations readiness within the Energy sector Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Proficiency in relevant software and tools Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus Required Experiences: Operations Readiness: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in operations readiness within the Energy sector, including Oil & Gas, petrochemicals, renewables, or other energy-related fields Project Management: Proven experience in managing and coordinating complex projects, ensuring all operational requirements are integrated and met Safety and Environmental Compliance: Extensive knowledge and practical experience in adhering to safety and environmental regulations, with a track record of implementing compliance measures Commissioning and Start-Up: Demonstrated expertise in providing technical support during the commissioning and start-up phases of projects, including troubleshooting and resolving operational issues Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Strong background in conducting risk assessments, identifying potential operational risks, and developing effective mitigation strategies Training and Development: Experience in developing and delivering training programs for operations personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, commissioning, project management, maintenance, and operations, to optimize performance and achieve project goals Offshore Operations: Experience with offshore operations is highly desirable, including familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of offshore environments Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operations readiness, project management, and risk assessment Continuous Improvement: A track record of leading initiatives to improve operations readiness processes, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices Certifications: Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or other relevant certifications is a plus What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Flexible working conditions Opportunities for professional growth and development A supportive and collaborative work environment The chance to be part of a forward-thinking and innovative team Wood encourages Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to apply.
