About the CompanyBased in Perth WA, our client is an Australian privately owned mining company with multiple hard rock assets in South Australia.
Reporting to the COO and Managing Director, the Mine Manager will manage all aspects of site compliance and operations of their newest open cut mining operation.In this role you will:Manage the day to day operations of an open pit hard rock mining, processing and logistics operationProvide effective management of the principal mining contractorEnsure statutory compliance is met at all timesEnsure all site personnel and contractors meet HSE statutory requirementsEnsure service agreements are met in full and within scheduleIntegrate HSE criteria into all plans, processes, systems and decisionsBuild and maintain effective working relationships and strategies with local community and key stakeholdersPromote and build the sustainable strategy with local community and stakeholdersAbout you:Strong problem solving skills together with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form strong relationships with teams and stakeholdersSignificant experience managing contractors in a mining environmentSelf motivated with the ability to work and manage independently and flexiblyDemonstrated experience implementing effective solutionsExcellent numeracy and communications skillsAdvanced mine planning skillsDemonstrated reporting experiencePrevious experience with business management and mine planning softwareHolder of, or ability to obtain mine managers certificationAbility to gain and hold Woomera Prohibited Area access permitMinimum C Class driver's licence with experience in working in remote locationsSenior First Aid qualificationA minimum of 5 years experience managing open pit mining operationsPrevious experience managing statutory compliance including PEPR is highly desirableThis position will commence immediately and excellent rates are on offer.
