Sydney Water have partnered with Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) to deliver; design, construct, maintenance and facilities management services as part of the P4S program in Sydney Water's Southern Region of Sydney.
D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We will provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry.
D4C is seeking an Operations Programme Manager - Minor Works to join their expanding team to deliver excellence in water projects across the Southern Region.
What this role will entail? As an Operations Programme Manager you will oversee the successful execution of a portfolio of projects focused on operational maintenance and property management in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will have direct reports and have responsibilty to monitor staff and a high performing team to ensure that each portfolio of works has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors, and foster a high-performance team.
The main responsibilities: End to end projects to be delivered under the Project Services Term Services Contract (TSC)Manage resource levels to deliver the program of works within budget, time, quality and regulatory standards, monitor and guide workflow, setting daily, weekly, and long-term project goals for the team.Review progress against each project cost plans, contractual arrangements and delivery milestones to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and budget and take effective remedial action as requiredConduct regular meetings with the Sydney Water Stakeholders to foster a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation, and address early warnings, changes to the program and compensation events, and broader safety, environment, quality and constructability compliance matters.Develop new and streamline existing processes and procedures for a more effective and efficient delivery methodology of minor works projectsContribute to the overall management of the team budget.Personal awareness and understanding of the D4C and Sydney Water HSEQ requirements supporting the mission of Delivering Differently.Implements and monitors controls for cost recoveries from subcontractors/suppliers including the capture of diary records of actual and potential subcontractor/supplier variations and disputes.Tertiary qualification - Diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or EquivalentMinimum 10 years project management experienceStrong contractual, legal, commercial, industrial relations and legislative compliance managementExperience with people and performance management including developmentManagement of projects up to $10m ·Experience in the water and wastewater industry is desirableWhite cardCurrent Drivers LicenceThis role is important to our future growth and impact.
