Operations Officer - Parks & Visitor Services Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions Location: Salary etc: Ref: Position No. DBCA3156380 The Midwest Region extends along the coast from Lancelin in the south to north of Carnarvon then inland past Meekatharra. The regional headquarters is in Geraldton. District offices are located at Geraldton, Jurien Bay and Denham, with District work centres at Gascoyne Junction, Mount Augustus, Yulga Jinna, Monkey Mia, Kalbarri, Cervantes and Lancelin.
We are seeking an Operations Officer - Parks and Visitor Services to join our team. Under the general direction of the District Parks and Visitor Services Coordinator, you will:
Organise and undertake the implementation of operations, works programs, activities and projects associated with parks and visitor services and infrastructure management within the Murchison District.Monitor and report on operations.Liaise with community, key stakeholders and community groups in a positive and informed manner.Undertake an active role in prescribed burning and bushfire suppression operations.At DBCA, we have adopted Leadership Expectations which provides a common understanding of the mindsets and expected behaviours required of all our employees and the public sector. The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
