Equivalent to APS5 level Operations Officer - Operations and Housing Support Branch
Location: DARWIN CBD, WFH 2 days in office 3 days after training
Salary: $55.25 p/h + Super
Employment Type: Full-time 12 months assignment, possibility of extension
Closing Date: 5pm Wednesday 13th November
Role start: Approximately January 13th 2025

Join the Operations and Housing Support Branch, where we play a pivotal role helping frontline service staff engage meaningfully with participants and provide strategic advice on process delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Secretariat Support: Provide Home and Living secretariat support for all Home and Living decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Support Agency teams with Home and Living enquiries, ensuring timely resolution of issues and complaints.
Process Improvement: Lead and contribute to the implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Data Management & Reporting: Manage, collate, and analyse data to produce reports and dashboards that inform both strategic and operational planning.
Performance Monitoring: Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets, and assist with monitoring and actioning correspondence.
Team Leadership & Support: Allocate tasks, set priorities, and mentor staff, providing support on technical, operational, and administrative activities.

About You:

Experience & Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, and can apply these to deliver outcomes efficiently.
Communication Skills: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and provide clear, practical advice.
Problem-Solving: You're adept at resolving moderately complex to complex enquiries and complaints, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes.
Leadership: Experience in leading teams or mentoring staff, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads in a collaborative environment.
Analytical Thinking: You can manage and analyse data effectively, using your insights to inform decision-making.
