In this role you will undertake diverse day-to-day tasks related to the application of Environment Protection Authority (EPA) legislative responsibilities in assigned regulatory areas involving major issues affecting the EPA, as well as activities in other regulatory functional areas as required by EPA operational priorities, contributing to the fulfilment of obligations and aims through the enhancement and preservation of the natural and cultural heritage values of the EPA. About You Our ideal candidate will have: Sound understanding of the relevant policies, practices and legislative requirements that govern the EPA's operations. Knowledge and experience in of one or more environment protection areas, including: air, water, noise, waste, chemicals, hazardous materials, radiation & environmental planning. Knowledge and experience in applying current relevant environmental legislation, with demonstrated ability to interpret other environmental legislation. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt and respond to changing organisational needs. This position is a field-based position and an inherent requirement of the role is to work out of either the Griffith or Wagga Wagga offices with an expectation of regular travel to the far west region of NSW. About the Team The Operations division are a dedicated team of environmental regulators who work to protect the environment and people from harm through the management of licensed premises and investigation of environmental incidents and complaints.
