Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full timeTyrecycle has a rare and exciting opportunity for a passionate Operations Manager to join our state-of-the-art tyre recycling facility located in Erskine Park, Sydney. This hands-on role is crucial for ensuring safe, efficient production and delivering high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.You will have key responsibility in:Ensure that Work, Health and Safety requirements are being met and be familiar with Tyrecycle's WHS Management System and relevant Emergency plans.Coordinate container movements and monitor procurement effectiveness to ensure products are delivered within required timeframes.Ensure preventative maintenance and repairs of all plant and equipment to minimise downtime.Coordinate production scheduling to minimise overtime and optimise output, whilst ensuring vehicle loading times are within operating standards.Effectively manage the performance of your team including training of new staff and regular compliance training for existing staff.Regularly review production processes and make recommendations and implement new processes to improve quality, efficiency, productivity and profitability of operations.Oversee the administrative function ensuring production and management reporting requirements are met.Direct daily oversight and management of drivers to ensure operational KPI's are met.Skills and experience:5 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment.Demonstrated experience in OH&S.Experience managing operational costs, ability to prioritise and achieve results.Experience working within a customer focused environment.Valid driver's licence.Exposure to the recycling industry.Relevant bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or maintenance.Experience with LEAN manufacturing techniques.Who we are:Tyrecycle, is ResourceCo's tyre recycling business and proudly, Australia's leading tyre recycler.
