ABOUT THE ROLE Based out of our Laverton branch, and reporting to the General Manager – Rental & Used, you will be responsible for leading and growing our Cat Rental and Used businesses across Victoria and Tasmania. Your key focuses will be on delivering exceptional customer service, as well as improving overall performance while achieving profitability targets. Your key responsibilities will include: Driving your geographically dispersed team to deliver on the performance objectives of both the business and Caterpillar.Improving operational efficiencies, as well as enhancing both the customers' and your employees' experience.Ensuring that continuous improvement initiatives are implemented in all areas of responsibility.Ensuring value for money for our customers by overseeing the utilization of available resources, facilities, systems, plant, and equipment.Key collaborator of relationships between the Cat rental and used teams, wider William Adams, Caterpillar, customers, and suppliers.Being the William Adams Cat Rental and Used representative within industry associations, events, and customer activities.Ensuring business is conducted in accordance with our Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.ABOUT YOU You are a high performing, passionate leader, who thrives on exceeding customers' needs.
You can quickly build trusted relationships which enable you to understand and anticipate business needs and resolve competing demands. You have a demonstrated ability to use your superior engagement, negotiating, and influencing skills with people, to achieve agreed strategic objectives. You will ideally have the following skills, experience, and attributes: Extensive experience leading both Sales & Operations teams within the heavy machinery industry.Experience in the rental/hire equipment space is desirable.Strong project, people, and commercial management skills.Sound conflict resolution, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance the needs of the customer, the business, and our people.The ability to improve performance through effective coaching and management.Dedicated commitment to safety and quality work practices.Formal qualifications in sales, marketing, or business would be considered favorably.Why work with us?
