Board Appointments (CEO & General Management) Full time About the roleWe are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join the PARC Infrastructure Division, based in our Applecross head office. Reporting to the GM Infrastructure and Defence, in this full-time role you will be responsible for the delivery of service excellence across all assigned contracts through the effective management and monitoring of employees, financial and operational performance and to ensure all works are delivered in a safe, timely and client desired manner, meeting the business' internal quality standards.
In addition, the Operations Manager is responsible for expanding the provision of services provided under the contract. With a strong focus on process improvement and cost optimisation, you will play a key role in driving the strategic objectives of the business.
What you'll be doing Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Evaluating operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure financial performance.Customer Service Management: Leading a team to provide excellent customer service by setting clear communication, managing expectations, and addressing feedback to maximize customer satisfaction.Health, Safety, and Environment (HSEQ): Promoting a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and taking corrective actions as needed.Business Development: Pursuing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with existing customers, and ensuring that proposals and tenders meet business standards and timelines.Team Leadership: Leading and developing team members through feedback, mentoring, and addressing performance concerns, ensuring service delivery meets deadlines, budget, and quality standards.What we're looking for Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldPrior experience in managing a profit and lossMinimum 10 years of experience in a similar operations management role within the Rail, Government, Defence, Mining, or Infrastructure projects.Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectivelyProven track record in business or contract management gained in a hands-on operational, contractual environmentExcellent negotiation, leadership and communication (written and verbal) skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and strategicallyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholdersAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teamsProficient in the use of project management software and data analytics toolsCommitment to fostering a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environmentCurrent Drivers licenseWhat we offerAt PARC Engineering, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work experience.
