A privately owned family businessestablished for over 40 years with Head Office in George Town, Tasmania and a branch in Dandenong South, Victoria.State of the art machinery and technologywith customers Australia wide and overseas, CPT Engineering is a respected manufacturing business.About the role;The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and support to Production and Senior Managers in the effective and efficient running of our Tasmanian operational site by ensuring all services are adequately resourced, aligned and optimised.Act as a professional head of the company on behalf of Directors.
Maintain a positive site culture and work closely with other Managers and Directors on strategy and business development.Main Duties (but not limited too);In conjunction with senior Management, develop and implement Operational Plans, ensuring the organisation's strategic goals and objectives are well understood and executed by Production and Senior Managers.Monitor, review and report against operational KPIs to ensure the organisation's strategic objectives are met.Set performance indicators for direct reports and appropriately manage these reports to these performance indicators.Analyse and respond to business information to design and implement operational improvements that remedy underperformance and respond to improvement opportunities.Coach, Mentor & support the management team.Monitor all business procedures are followed and assist in improving procedures where opportunities are identified.Design and implement management systems to improve overall business performance where opportunities are identified and agreed with management group.Hold regular performance meetings with reports and support other managers in their performance management responsibilities.Develop and support a high performing leadership team and an efficient business operation.Identify and address staffing requirements for maintenance of a streamlined efficient team appropriate for the necessary business function and future business growth as per strategic direction.Regularly update senior management of overall performance and summarise success, opportunity and concerns within a monthly report.Communicate immediate opportunities or risks clearly and quickly to upper management when identified.Develop strong customer relationships.Provide input to allow the Production Manager, Estimating manager & CFO, to monitor, review and report against operational KPIs to ensure the organisation's operational plan objectives are met.Use available communication tools effectively and as agreed on with staff and management including emails, meetings and Mietrak.Work closely with all senior management across all sites and areas of the business to ensure companywide consistency and efficiency.Travel may be required statewide and interstate when opportunity or benefit is identified.Benefits and perksAutonomy in the position and how accountabilities are managed.Work closely with the management team on positive change, and have an effect on overall culture in the workplace.Career progression and opportunity for growth within the role.Work closely with business owners to build strategy and company success.Authority to make real change and see the results first hand.Supportive Management team.Provide Guidance and development to high potential future leaders.Diversity of duties working with all levels of business including external stakeholders.Skills and experienceThe successful applicant will have good communication skills and willing to work within a team environment and ability to liaise professionally with staff, suppliers and customers alike.Good understanding of processes, confident and experienced computer skills .
