Your future role: Alstom is seeking an Operations Manager for a full-time permanent position overseeing the Rollingstock and Maintenance Contracts for the Sydney Metro Northwest, City, and Southwest, based at Rouse Hill. In this key role, you'll manage day-to-day operations, ensure safety compliance, and drive performance improvements across the operations.
We'll look to you for: Overseeing Rollingstock and Maintenance Contracts for the RS Product Line and ensuring 100% compliance with Alstom safety rules and EHS topics.Managing the Rolling Stock (RS) units in the depot from delivery through the General Warranty period, ensuring their availability and performance.Leading commissioning and warranty activities for RS to meet availability targets as planned.Mobilising and ensuring the availability of resources, including Train Drivers and Roving Teams, while working closely with HR for recruitment and retention.Overseeing Mixed Fleet Operations (MFO) to maintain operations without impacting current train services.Collaborating with infrastructure teams to implement and manage site processes and logistics.Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the preferred contact for customers.Utilising KPIs to monitor performance, manage risks, and enhance workforce motivation and engagement.All about you: Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related field.Demonstrated experience in the railway industry or adjacent sectors.Strong background in fleet operations and site process implementation.Proven ability to lead teams in testing, commissioning, and warranty activities.Deep understanding of EHS topics, railway systems, and principles of reliability growth.Things you'll enjoy: 18 weeks paid parental leaveFree gym membershipFlexible working options and additional leave daysPurchase annual leave and novated leasing schemesBenefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learningStability, challenges and a long-term career enabling you to steer your progression in whatever direction you choose across functions and countriesBenefit from a competitive package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and social coverage (life, salary continuance, medical)Important to note: As a global business, we're an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 70+ countries we operate in.
