Operating within the Gawler region for over 40 years, Argoweld is a fabrication and maintenance workshop that has seen steady organic growth in the last 5 years. We specialise in general and onsite maintenance, truck and trailer repairs and maintenance, agricultural machinery repairs, vehicle fit outs and lots more. We are a small and growing team, but we are dynamic and thrive on the variety of work that we do delivering a superior high-quality product that has been tailored to our specific customer requirements.
About the role As part of our strategic growth plan, we are implementing this new role to streamline, grow and strengthen our operations to allow for future business developments and opportunities. This role would be ideal for an individual who can bring to Argoweld their well-rounded experience and knowledge of best practice from within the industry or from a similar type of role, who is great with people, can influence change and thrives in taking operations and teams to the next level.
Operational Excellence – You will be accountable for the smooth and efficient day to day operations of Argoweld.Continuous Improvement – Streamline, optimise and develop our operations as we grow and take Argoweld to the next level!Leadership – Develop, coach and mentor our team from strength to strength.Inventory Management – Control what we have and when we have it.Project Management – Take a job from start to finish. Be part of the process, be part of the team and see the job through from start to finish.Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years in a similar type of role within the manufacturing industry.Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar leadership-based role.Experience in leading and managing different size projects.Demonstrated ability in running a smooth workshop operation.Demonstrated ability in change management and continuous improvement.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence all types of stakeholders.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Trade background an advantage especially as a boilermaker, but not necessary.Must be proficient in using computers and in the utilisation of job software.Argoweld's Culture and Values Here at Argoweld, we see a very diverse range of customer requirements and jobs requiring us to remain open to change and to be always adaptable in our ways of working.
