Experienced administrator sought to cover three months maternity cover extension from late Dec/3 Jan tba. 4 days per week, central Edinburgh, £32k (£40k pro-rata), some work from home possible.
We are seeking a well-organised individual with initiative and commitment who is highly literate and numerate with a keen eye for detail, to cover three months of extended maternity leave. The role is based near Waverley Station in Edinburgh and is for 4 days per week negotiable. Some working from home is negotiable. We are a small team, and the post-holder will be responsible for the smooth running of the charity's operations, working closely with the Chief Executive, Finance Manager, and other contractors and staff. The role offers the post-holder experience of a wide range of activities that are required to run a successful and growing charity. There may be further job opportunities after the period.
There will be comprehensive support in the form of a thorough handover, a guidance operations handbook, and from colleagues. The role will encompass managing an efficient and smooth-running office that supports all aspects of the Trust's work, including day-to-day administration, to a high standard.
Essential Qualifications:Two years administration experience at a senior level, including Excel, Microsoft Word, and management of simultaneous projects.Educated to degree level.Desirable Qualifications:Responsibility for charity administration.Office 365 experience.Minute taking and event support.Highly numerate and literate.Key Responsibilities:Servicing committees.Grants administration.Processing financial records.Supporting the organisation of the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships in March.Processing HR services to enable the team to carry out their work effectively.Administering the instrument lending service.The full role description, person specification, and terms can be downloaded from our website at www.ssspdt.org.uk.
