The Operations Manager is responsible for operational planning, developing and implementing all operational, administrative, human resource related and financial activities of multi Housekeeping departments to meet the clients service standards and LUXXE's service requirements. You will oversee a number of hotels within Adelaide and ideally have previous experience in multi site management. You have a strong understanding of overall hotel operations including Front Office, Maintenance and Housekeeping and those with a Rooms Division or Housekeeping background would be ideal candidates.
Managerial ResponsibilitiesAs Operations Manager, you will determine the most efficient ways for each housekeeping department you oversee to operate. You will oversee the housekeeping management, which includes making sure that the company has the equipment and procedures in place to give guests' and clients' the best service possible. You will also work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure that the budget at each property is met and maintained on a daily basis through the use of planning/forecasting, manning effectively, productivity trackers and labour reports.
You have an overarching responsibility for the WH&S of each workplace, ensuring that teams are compliant in applicable legislative requirements and that equipment is safely maintained, regularly serviced and annually tested & tagged where appropriate. You are also responsible for ensuring the SOP's and SWMS are followed by each team member on site and that all training records are current and up to date including monthly Toolbox Talks.
Leadership and PlanningThe ability to plan is essential for an Operations Manager. You will need to use both creativity and problem-solving skills in order to create and implement plans to help LUXXE succeed. You may need to create plans for training and/or retraining, and for implementing new processes. You will also need leadership and communication skills to interact effectively with the company's employees and clients. You must be confident and respectful, while offering employees support when needed. The ability to multitask, self-manage your time and manage stress overseeing multiple sites is key to a successful Operations Manager.
