This position is required to implement business strategies and perform a variety of other tasks to ensure the business is thriving. Reporting to the General Manager - Ports & Government Relations, the position is responsible for performing the following in a timely, accurate and efficient manner; Investigating and developing strategic new business opportunities and organic growth of existing business within the state and nationally Ensuring sufficient levels of adequately trained and developed staff to meet the needs of the business Ensuring appropriate allocation of all resources including equipment, facilities and employees Monitoring, implementing, and supporting initiatives and programs to develop knowledge, skills, and competencies of managers, supervisors, coordinators, and staff Delivering SCT services to customers in a manner that achieves agreed outcomes with respect to budgets and business plan forecasts for Victoria. Monitoring the use of equipment and facilities to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective operation. At least 5 years Senior Management experience, preferably within the transport & Logistics field. Demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in Transport related industries. Ability to engender teamwork and work closely with staff to achieve shared outcomes. Understanding and application of change management, through demonstrated ability to effectively implement and manage change.
