About the role
As the Operations Manager for Better Medical , you will play a crucial role in delivering operations of our multiple General Practice (GP) clinics across Tasmania. This position plays a crucial role in optimising operations, profitability, deliverables, and processes across our Tasmania GP network. The successful applicant will be empowered to manage revenue, facilities, procurement, and expenses to service the network. We are seeking an exemplary leader who can empower the Practice Manager/s and health care professionals to drive engagement and retention of employees across their region and deliver operational results.
What you'll be doing Oversee the management and operations of our clinics throughout the assigned portfolio across Tasmania, with accountability for financial performance, employee engagement, service excellence, and revenue growth. Lead and empower the Practice Manager/s to facilitate engagement and retention of employees and health care professionals across the region and wider network. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes relating to cost efficiencies, GP recruitment and retention, new business, revenue growth, and service excellence. Inspire a high-performance culture within the business and their network of clinics through focused people strategy and initiatives. Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, business development, revenue growth, and service excellence. Be accountable for clinic operational and labor costs including Service Based Rosters and general operating costs, working to budget. Identify and manage 'hot spots' to maintain service deliverables and financial health. Champion clinic best practice across the network. What we're looking for Proven experience in a senior healthcare operations management role, across multiple sites (General Practice preferred but not essential). Strong understanding of healthcare industry regulations, policies, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in data analysis and performance monitoring. Formal qualifications in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field or similar comparable experience. Please note this position requires travel throughout Tasmania. A current and valid driver's license and access to your own motor vehicle is essential.
