About the role: The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting daily activities of their team members in order to ensure all projects are completed on time, in budget, and in compliance with all standards. The Operations Manager will provide leadership and manage a support team. As a key member of the Senior Management team, this role is dedicated to achieving and exceeding business objectives through efficient execution, high quality and timely deliverables.
About you: The role will work with the strategic managers to support the CEO in the execution of the Strategic Plan, funding contracts and operational plans. The role will develop and implement organizational leadership through exceptional governance, business administration, and a positive working environment.
SELECTION CRITERIA OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE Duties: Develop and nurture a high performing team, able to deliver a strong customer experience and meet performance targets. Directing the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of organizational processes. Contributing to the overall business direction and strategy by recommending improvements to operations. Preparing and analyzing operational and management reports monitoring the effective delivery of organizational KPI's. Respond to risk, mitigating clinical risks, prevented by customers. Determining areas needing cost reduction and process improvement. Managing the day to day running of the operations team. Managing the day-to-day progress of the program throughout its life cycle. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, coordinating the projects within the program and managing their interdependencies. Managing the resources across the various projects in the program. Providing status reports to programming sponsors and stakeholders. Building relationships between the operations and support divisions and ensuring business units receive adequate operational support. Ensuring that all customer enquiries are resolved in a timeframe that meets established service level agreements. Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external clients. LEADERSHIP EXCELLENCE Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution. Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems. Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant. Oversee materials and inventory. Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management. Ensure compliance with any of the company's WHS policies, procedures and any reasonable requests. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Proven experience and an appropriate qualification supporting Operations Management. Experience leading diverse teams. A Current Driver's License. Working Rights in Australia. NDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtain. Current Police Check or willingness to obtain and pass a Police Check. DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Previous experience overseeing clinical risk at a program level (Desirable). Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, which facilitate interaction, cooperation and trust with relevant groups and individuals, achieve desired outcomes and establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships. Proven experience and ability to prepare policy and related documents on a timely basis. A demonstrated high degree of personal integrity and credibility and the ability to represent VGC with professional competence.
