Dawn House's mission is to provide a safe haven, holistic support, and community education to empower women and children on their journey to recovery.The roleAs the Operations Manager at Dawn House, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services. You will work closely with the CEO and manage the service delivery staff, ensuring the organisation's mission is fulfilled and strategic goals are met.Key Responsibilities:Lead the operational execution of Dawn House's strategic plan, ensuring financial stability and growth of own-source revenue.Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the shelter, including intake procedures, case management, counselling services, and support services, ensuring they meet the needs of clients.Represent Dawn House to government bodies, peak organisations, and other stakeholders to advocate the mission.Motivate and guide staff to ensure efficient shelter operations, including intake procedures, case management, and counselling services.Collaborate with the CEO and Finance team on budget allocation, procurement, and facility maintenance.Foster partnerships with community organisations and government agencies to enhance support services.Develop and implement protocols to address crises and ensure the safety of residents and staff.Provide professional development opportunities for staff in areas like trauma-informed care and conflict resolution.Key Selection Criteria:Tertiary qualification in management, leadership or community services (desirable).Proven success in senior management positions with a strong understanding of governance and management best practices.High-level communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.High level understanding of local and national issues related to domestic violence against women and children.Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of the women's shelter, advocating for social justice and empowerment for survivors of domestic and family violence.Commitment to a conscientious approach, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaborative ethos, and attention to detail.Hold or have the ability to obtain NT Ochre Card, National Police clearance.Join Dawn House Women's Shelter and make a difference in the lives of women and children seeking safety and support.
