Pleisure Marine is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to join our expanding team. In this essential role, you will oversee day-to-day operations while working closely with the Managing Director to support growth and the development of new areas of the business. Your responsibilities will include optimising parts management, streamlining administrative and warranty processes, and enhancing technician performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry knowledge, a hands-on approach, and a dedication to delivering exceptional service while driving overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Managing Director to integrate company policies and set performance targets. Oversee parts inventory, warranties, and administration processes to ensure streamlined operations. Supervise and mentor technicians, ensuring compliance with procedures and quality standards. Plan, schedule, and assign jobs to technicians based on priority, resource availability, and customer needs. Manage customer relationships, handling concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Implement and monitor KPIs driving continuous improvement across all operational areas. Ensure adherence to safety and compliance requirements specific to the industry. Assist in recruitment, training, and development of staff to build a skilled, cohesive team. Review and approve payroll, ensuring that all employee hours are accurately recorded, and align with company policies. Optimise job scheduling and workflow, coordinating with suppliers and clients to minimise delays and ensure timely completion of jobs. Monitor job progress, proactively resolving issues to maintain efficiency and meet deadlines. What You'll Bring: Proven experience in operations management, ideally within the marine or industrial industry. Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams effectively. Excellent organisational abilities and a process-driven mindset. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and suppliers. Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations is highly desirable.
