Rise & Bake boasts 2 cafés across Cairns, with one location in Smithfield and one in Cairns Central Shopping Centre. We are now looking for an experienced individual to take the reins.
The Operations Manager works across both Rise & Bake venues and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the businesses. They will display an in-depth knowledge of all products and services offered. The Group Manager oversees and coordinates the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. A hands-on, lead-by-example approach is fundamental to succeed in this position. The Operations Manager will foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
Tasks & Responsibilities Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment. Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs, update and change where needed and communicate across both venues. Oversee and ensure that café policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis. Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development. Improve and maintain social media presence by posting on various platforms on a regular basis and improve online review rating. Prepare weekly sales and staff cost reports for all venues. Weekly rostering. Weekly stock ordering. Prepare cleaning and training rosters. Prepare and hold staff trainings and/or meetings. Meet applicants for interviews. Invoice input to bookkeeping program. Qualifications & Experience At least 2 years experience in a restaurant or café in a supervisory role.
Basic barista knowledge.
