The Operations Manager oversees the base building operational performance for their assigned industrial portfolio, managing building services, statutory compliance and risk management, whilst providing exceptional customer service. Reporting to Senior Operations Manager, this role works closely with the Property Management Team and National Operations Manager to maximize the investment performance of the assets.
Responsibilities: As the successful applicant, this role will see your responsibilities include:
Ensuring duties and responsibilities under the Property Management Agreements are fulfilled to a high standard Initiating, planning, supervising, and controlling repairs and maintenance Building and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, consultants, suppliers and FPI teams including Asset Management, Property Management and Operations Managing building services, statutory compliance, contractor management, and risk management Attending to after-hours callouts, and regularly undertaking site inspections of building services and fabric Liaising with FPI teams to review budgets and expenditure (operational and capital upgrade works), obtain approvals for fit-outs, and conduct tendering Assisting the Property Management team with monthly management reporting Reporting on building services, energy usage, and statutory compliance Monitoring of sustainability performance, and preparing upgrade recommendations Assisting with project management of minor works Skills & Experience: As the ideal applicant you will possess:
Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of assets and working within a property management team Knowledge of and experience in essential safety systems, building services, and building fabric maintenance Demonstrated experience managing service and contracts An understanding of operational budgets and expenditure, and capital expenditure budgets Tertiary or trade qualifications in engineering, building, construction or facilities management highly desirable OHS training/qualified highly desirable C4C & I Auditor highly desirable
