What you need to know... Temporary three year term contractFull time - 76 hours per fortnightThe package: $64,296 to $76,674 plus superannuation per annumLocation: GraftonAbout the role Dive into your new job at the Regional Aquatic Centre!
The Regional Aquatic Centre in Grafton is brand new and due to open in December. The new facility includes an outdoor 50m pool, an accessible zero depth splash pad and an indoor centre with two heated pools, a 25m and combined program and leisure pool.
We are currently recruiting for an Operations & Grounds Operator to assist with the water quality, grounds maintenance and general asset management. We are looking for someone with skills and experience in general cleaning and maintenance, plant room operations and lawn and garden care. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of pool safety standards and hazard prevention. Early mornings and weekend work will be required in this role.
To be considered for this position you will need to: Address the essential criteriaAttach a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date resume (5 pages maximum) that clearly details your skills & experience as relevant to this position. You will need to demonstrate how you meet the focus capabilities and how your skills will enable you to achieve the key accountabilities.Answer the 3 target questions - maximum 300 words each question:
Q1. Please outline your experience in water quality and swimming pool maintenance?
Q2. Please outline your experience in grounds maintenance including lawns and garden care and the operation of small plant and equipment.

Other important information This position is located at Council's Aquatic Centre, however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future.
A probation period applies to this position.
