The role We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual for the role of Operations Field Support – Relief.
As an Operational Field Support - Relief, you will be required to perform all necessary daily activities associated with servicing Sandvik rock tools supply contracts, including compliance with all relevant operating procedures and policies, contract documents, stock management, regular communications with customers, and various reporting requirements.
Our staff provide you with comprehensive training to set you up to succeed.
This role also requires daily driving of light vehicles and trucks, use of iPads/computers for administration, and some heavy lifting of drilling consumables.
This role is to cover training, leave, and customer requirements and will involve frequent and ad-hoc travel across the East Coast of Australia to multiple sites and locations.
The base location is the greater Sydney area, but must be located within a reasonable distance to the airport.
If no relief is required during a normal working period, a regular FIFO/DIDO working roster will apply (usually 8/6).
Areas of responsibility Training and CoachingManaging drilling consumables inventories to drill sitesUndertaking deliveries (a valid HR truck driver's license is needed) and stock replenishment to site surface lay down yardsAnalysing and reporting on drilling consumable performance, condition, and failuresPositively engaging with our client's mining operatorsAdministration of Products Usage and Contract RequirementsEHS RequirementsRepairs and reconditioning of hammersTimely data entry and record keepingYour profile To meet our customer requirements, you will be physically fit, able to do shift work (12-hour days), and able to work up to 14 days in a row.
Rosters will vary frequently; however, they are predominantly 8 days on, 6 days off, day shift only.
You will have experience working in mining or a similar industry alongside heavy equipment.
You will have a C Class Manual License and a National Police Clearance.
You will also be willing to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC), HRWL, HR License, Dogging/Rigging, Senior 1st Aid, and other site-specific licenses as required.
Sandvik will pay for required tickets, including paid training days.
You must have a strong safety commitment as well as excellent customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of on-site service contracts, mining, and familiarity with Sandvik drilling products would also be highly advantageous.
You will be highly flexible and willing to travel up to 70% of the time, including the ability to mobilize at short notice as required.
You must be able to pass a thorough medical, including frequent drug and alcohol screening.
