YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE Full Time Ongoing Role The Operations Director Clinical Research role at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and strategic leader in the field of clinical research operations. This new role is integral to Peter Mac's Clinical Research Transformation Project, which aims to enhance and integrate clinical research into routine healthcare delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for clinical research, a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and strong strategic and operations management skills. The role offers a chance to shape the future of clinical research at one of Australia's premier cancer treatment institutions.
Overview: The Operations Director is a senior, full-time role that provides operational oversight for the development, management, and execution of clinical research, including clinical trials, across Peter Mac. The position is crucial for ensuring operational compliance and for leading the integration of clinical research with patient care to further advance Peter Mac's cancer treatment and care mission.
Core Responsibilities: Facilitating the advancement and expansion of impactful, compliant and high-quality research by fostering excellence in clinical research support services.Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through the development and implementation of policies, procedures and processes.Providing leadership and oversight for finance, workforce development, and administrative and operational functions of clinical research support services at Peter Mac to ensure the 'end-to-end' research support.Collaborating with clinical and research leaders, and operations staff to embed clinical research into routine healthcare delivery.Improving patient access to clinical trials and other clinical research, including quantitative, qualitative, cohorts, precision medicine and translational research.Engaging with stakeholders to align hospital and research strategic priorities with resource use according to a 'bench to bedside' model.Enabling and continuing to develop a positive workplace culture.Salary Range: HS8 $136k per annum plus over award based on experience (As of the Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025).
