The Role The Operations Cost Accountant is an exciting role in a growing manufacturing business acting as the key business partner to the supply and operations team. The role delivers robust operational insights, performance tracking and recommendations to the executive and operational managers, while also providing financial reporting, commercial, and analytical support. Key responsibilities include:
Lead the inventory costing process across the groupOperational cost variance analysisManage freight costing analysis and accrualsMonth end close process across operations and supply chainCoordination of the budgeting and forecasting inputs for operationsCommercial analysis and support across the operations teamsTo be considered for this role The position is located in our hometown of Bundaberg. The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience in a similar role in either FMCG or manufacturing environments and having CPA/CA qualifications would be highly desired.
You would have a proven leadership ability and be able to influence in your discussions. You would need to be able to work in a team and demonstrate sound financial decision-making skills and knowledge in the key areas of labour, materials, usage, write off, overheads, and productivity.
