The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and commercially astute Operations / Cost Accountant to join our team. Based in our Eight Mile Plains office and reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for providing financial support and reporting for the manufacturing, technical, and logistics teams. You will take a lead role in continuous improvement initiatives within Finance, undertake analysis across various manufacturing and distribution sites, providing insights on production forecast projections, cost management, and ROI. Additionally, the role will involve analysing and reviewing processes and procedures within Finance, investigating opportunities to develop and design best practice that capitalises on business opportunities.
Key responsibilities will include:Maintain standard costs of raw materials, packaging, and finished goodsInventory reconciliation and reporting, including review of obsolete and slow-moving stockWeekly and monthly analysis for both purchase price and manufacturing variancesPrepare monthly freight and distribution accruals and cost allocationsEnsure the accuracy of the transactional data from various systems and drive process improvementsPrepare all manufacturing, technical, and supply chain related month-end financial reportsDevelop and maintain excellent business relationships with key stakeholders within the Manufacturing, Technical, and Logistics areas of the businessThe PersonQualified Accountant with 5 years + experience as CA or CPAExperience in manufacturing accounting, product costing, inventory reporting, and exposure to supply chainAbility to review all manufacturing and logistics reporting to ensure accuracy, provide insightful commentary, and make recommendations to operations teams to improve financial outcomesStrong commercial acumen and ability to foster relationships internally and externallyStrong analytical skills and management reporting methodologyAbility to act confidentially, with discretion in all mattersDemonstrated ability to counsel, coach, negotiate, problem solve, influence, and persuadeExcellent communicator, able to convey verbally and in writingAdvanced Excel skills, modelling skills, and strong ERP knowledge of D365Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiasticWhat we Offer you:Professional development opportunities and career progressionWork with established, trusted brands in a fast-growing category and companyCompetitive salary coupled with additional employee benefitsAccess to staff discounts on all Integria Healthcare productsAccess to our Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing program as well as discounted private health insuranceThis is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, skilled team in a company that genuinely values your hard work.
