They include national sporting fixtures and championships, cultural festivals, music events, and everything in between.The RoleAs an Operations Coordinator, you will have direct and indirect involvement across the major events portfolio. The role has outcomes linked to event planning and delivery, whilst working on functional elements including safety, compliance, risk management, and budgeting. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the view to extend based on operational needs. The role is based in Darwin with travel needed across the Northern Territory to attend events. There will be a requirement to work some weekends and public holidays.Responsibilities:Contribute to the planning and delivery of the NTMEC event portfolioLiase and work with event partners, stakeholders, and suppliersFacilitate and manage access to event sites and work schedulesCollate and execute administrative tasks relating to the events, including reports, build schedules, accreditation, event enhancement plans, and ticketing requirementsManage event overlay including temporary infrastructure installations and compliance requirementsActively participate within our workplace health and safety and risk management framework, including adhering to policies and procedures and driving best practiceManage and lead events and activities as requiredAbout you:Demonstrated previous event or venue management skills across a diverse portfolio of events and venuesA team player who has the ability to create a positive environment and help colleagues improve as peopleWell-developed IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applicationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle diverse situations with professionalism, and deliver a positive customer experienceWe will support you in implementing innovative approaches within a collaborative, people-focused, and results-driven environment.
