Based on the North-side of Brisbane we are a family owned company specialising in School Services & Charter work.Competitive Salary + Car Allowance is on offer for this role.Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is crucial to the day to day running and monitoring of school services and charter operations. The position requires an energetic and reliable person with great communication skills. As a key member of the Operations Team you will be required to work a rotating roster with some weekend responsibilities.The successful applicant will find the challenge of solving operational issues exciting and will have the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.The successful candidate will have the following attributes:Experience in planning, coordinating and overseeing a transport operation.Previous experience as an allocator in a transport business.Extensive knowledge of South East Queensland.Ability to learn quickly.Well-developed relationship management skills.Self-starter with a proactive approach to their work.Ability to work in a fluid environment and adapt quickly to changing client requirements.Ability to communicate at all levels.Good working knowledge of Fatigue Management Regulations.Good working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility Legislation.Ability to work with drivers, (many of whom are casual) with varying skill levels to achieve the best outcome for everyone.Contribute to the ongoing improvement of systems.Well-developed client relationship management skills.Superior problem solving and decision-making skills.Confident computer skills are required as you will utilise various programs as well as learning our Scheduling and Rostering software.A Current Heavy Vehicle License (Minimum MR) HR Preferred & Current Queensland Driver's Authorisation (or the ability to obtain) would be considered advantageous.Your key responsibilities will include:Day to day monitoring of school services and charter operationsAllocation of vehicles and drivers to both charter and school services work & dealing with changes as they arise.Two-way radio operationsResponding to phone enquiries from the driving team and clientsReviewing driver hours and timesheets against Passenger Vehicle Transportation AwardInvolvement in after hours and weekend duty rosterOther administrative duties as requiredMaintaining positive support to all team members, external customers & stakeholders is paramount.
