The Opportunity Reporting to the Head Teachers within the Hospitality, Commercial Cookery and Food and Beverage you will work in collaboration with the small close-knit team and apply your knowledge of the hospitality sector in all aspects such as stock ordering, cleaning, preparing the allocated student area and work health and safety practices.
This is a 1 x Part-time (34.5 hours/week) part year permanent position (44 weeks / year).
Available locations: Armidale, Dubbo, Tamworth, Bathurst, and Orange.
About You You will be responsible for the provision of high-level support to teaching sections within Hospitality.
Within this hands-on role you will undertake the supervision of the day-to-day class support operations for the practical classes, ensure the areas comply with work, health and safety regulations and are ready to use by the teachers and students.
Applying your knowledge and experience within stock control, you will be responsible for ensuring that the correct amount of stock is on hand for all students and teachers.
To succeed in the role, you will have:
Certificate IV in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery or equivalent supervisor experience within the hospitality industry. Sound knowledge of hospitality operations Current Class C Drivers Licence Hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain) Demonstrated experience in food ordering and stock control Ability to learn and then train other staff in the use of TAFE business systems and account/requisitioning systems Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of effectively engaging and collaborating with a dispersed team.
