Due to significant growth, we are currently seeking applications for the position of Operations Controller . This role is a new role which will form part of the management team and directly report to executive management. The successful person will be the interface between our head office and operational crews in the field.
Overseeing 7 helicopters, up to 10 crews and various vehicles and equipment tasked in the field nationally, the operations controller will be responsible for setting and maintaining operational plans (schedules / rosters / logistics) based on various inputs including but not limited to: safety & quality, training and development, aviation & electrical regulations, contracts, internal processes and procedures and aircraft maintenance requirements. The successful applicant will be in constant contact with field crews, working with them to ensure everything is in place for successful delivery. They will also work on longer term programme planning, ensuring logistics are in place for future programme locations and taskings.
In addition, the Operations Controller is responsible for ensuring all non-aviation fleet and equipment remains operationally ready and documentation thereto is maintained. The role will also lead our operational continual improvement programme, bringing opportunities for improvement to the broader management team and coordinating the initiatives to drive improvement.
We are looking for someone to live and breathe our schedule and roster, someone who works well with disbursed crews and is an experienced and competent problem solver.
